Welcome
to CECA
The
Calgary Ethiopian Community Association was founded in 1982 to
assist new Ethiopians immigrating to Canada in their settlement
process. The association is run by a group of volunteers who are
elected every two years. It is also the founding member of the
Western Canada Soccer tournament which has been running for the
past 6 years in conjunction with Ethiopians living in the cities
of Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg.
The
membership has been steadily growing since November 1998, when
a new executive committee was elected. We now have an active member
count of 650 and counting (January, 2007)!
The
future looks bright as more Ethiopians are recognizing the need
for a strong community and are showing their support by becoming

To receive
a membership, please print and fill out the membership
application form, and send it to the CECA office. Membership
fees can be paid during a visit to the office or you may send
a check payable to CECA with the application form. To
